Leadership Team
Mr. Sweeney and Mr. Luster bring decades of industry experience and established professional relationships across the global renewable fuels sector. Their backgrounds include prior and ongoing engagement with a range of recognized technology licensors and service providers that are commonly involved in the development, construction, and operation of renewable fuels projects, including EPC contractors, operations and maintenance providers, insurance and risk advisors, legal counsel, and independent research and chemical analysis firms that support project development, execution, and long-term operations.

Patrick Sweeney
Mr. Sweeney will serve as CEO of Carbon Clean Solutions. Primary responsibilities will include executive direction, and oversight in all areas of operations and business affairs of the company to ensure conformity to the vision of the future Board of Directors. He will oversee and deliver the company’s performance.
Renewable fuels project developer and senior business leader with 30+ years of experience and innovation in consulting, sales, marketing, finance, and operations across the technology, energy, and environmental sectors. Proven ability to structure, finance, and execute complex renewable diesel, bioenergy, and RNG projects, including site control, permitting, feedstock acquisition, technology selection, offtake contracting, and capital formation. Skilled in building long-term stakeholder and investor relationships and delivering bankable projects aligned with environmental, regulatory, and economic objectives.
Across renewable diesel, energy crops, RNG, and green methanol, his career reflects a consistent ability to originate projects, raise development capital, form strategic partnerships, and advance large-scale renewable fuel assets toward commercialization. This experience underpins Carbon Clean Solutions’ current platform and its ability to engage credibly with strategic partners, institutional investors, and global off-takers.

Mr. Sweeney holds a Bachelor of Science in Commerce degree in Marketing from Santa Clara University. He is Six Sigma certified. He served our country as an officer in the United States Marine Corps.
Principal & CEO
Claude Luster III
Mr. Luster will serve as CTO of Carbon Clean Solutions. Primary responsibilities will include executive oversight of research, development, commercialization and deployment of renewable fuels technologies and products for commercially viable applications.
Mr. Luster’s 50+ years of experience in the bioconversion business sector have provided him with a unique & diverse background, encompassing the entire gamut from inventing, commercializing, and deploying complex process conversion technologies for novel conversion systems and facilities. Mr. Luster’s professional journey was initiated in Florida in the 10th grade when he was privileged to learn from one of the world’s renowned food product/process innovators to originate and deploy novel food products for utilization in the early NASA space program. From that initial experience, he has worked in various corporate capacities, including CEO, COO, Owner, and Owner Representative for numerous existing and greenfield bioconversion facilities.
Relative to the biofuels industry, Mr. Luster was one of the first pioneers to explore the unique intricacies of biomass gasification and microbial conversion processes for biofuels production. His expertise has been sought and utilized by prominent corporations such as Dow Chemical, Procter & Gamble, ConAgra, Miller Brewing, and others, including entities in Europe, China, Africa, the Caribbean, and Canada. He has served as a member of a California venture capital group that included limited partners Bank of America, Wells Fargo & WAMU. His food and bioconversion sector achieved the highest returns of all investment sectors His vast experience, combined with a deep commitment to advancing the bioconversion sector, positions him as a leading figure in the development of sustainable energy solutions and green chemistry.
Mr. Luster’s academic background included undergraduate studies at Florida A&M University and California State University, Hayward. He completed postgraduate studies and research while working full-time, earning a Master of Science degree from the University of California, Berkeley, focusing on metabolic pathway indicators. NASA utilized a version of Mr. Luster’s novel methodology to ascertain the presence of microbes in Moon soil.
